Classically trained in India with the acclaimed Oberoi Group, Vivek has always believed that as with other creative forms, Indian cuisine should also evolve over time. By designing from the very outset a menu based wholly on modern Indian dishes, Vivek placed himself firmly at the forefront of the movement to take Indian cuisine 'beyond authenticity'. He has authored 3 bestselling cookbooks and is a familiar face on TV with regular appearances on BBC's Saturday Kitchen and UKTV’s Market Kitchen. Following up on the success of The Cinnamon Club, Vivek and his team launched Cinnamon Kitchen and Anise in the City in 2008.

Jean-Luc joined The Cinnamon Club team in 2006, having previously run some of the best restaurants in London, among them being Chez Nico, Le Manoir and Galvin’s. Jean-luc’s belief is that the best guest experiences come from simplest things and keeping things simple is often the hardest thing to achieve in restaurants. Jean-Luc and his team are committed to creating the best experience by listening to our guests and build on our ethos of originality and excellence.
ABDUL YASEEN head chef
In November 2008 Abdul opened Cinnamon Kitchen as its head chef having been and worked with Vivek for close to a decade. Abdul heads a team of 13 chefs in a state-of the art kitchen that is currently producing some of the best modern Indian cooking in the country. Through his passion and pride, he is determined to make Cinnamon Kitchen a London establishment very quickly.

Shane has been a part of the opening team at Cinnamon Kitchen and Anise and has been instrumental in bringing an interactive, fun style of service whilst still providing the professionalism, accuracy and precision that is associated with the best London restaurants.
