Celebration of Bengali Cuisine
Chef Shaikh Latifuddin
This year marks 25 years of The Cinnamon Collection, and to celebrate, we are turning the spotlight to the chefs who shape our kitchens every day. At Cinnamon Kitchen City, Chef Shaikh Latifuddin presents a Celebration of Bengali Cuisine, a refined four-course menu priced at £40.
Bengali food is layered, nuanced and deeply cultural. The menu explores mustard, poppy seed, gondhoraj lime and slow-cooked bhuna gravies, balancing richness with delicacy. Designed in a contemporary format suited to the City of London, it retains authenticity while elevating presentation.
Chef Shaikh grew up in Bengal, surrounded by festival cooking and home celebrations. After training across premium hotels in India and nearly a decade in luxury hospitality abroad, he joined Cinnamon Kitchen City where he refined his approach to modern Indian fine dining. This menu is his interpretation of Bengal’s culinary depth.
Part of a ten-week regional chef series across the Collection, this City menu sits alongside Himalayan cuisine in Richmond, Uttarakhand in Covent Garden, Pahadi cooking in Battersea and Western Ghats flavours at The Cinnamon Club.
For those seeking Bengali fine dining in London’s Square Mile, this is a rare opportunity to explore the true taste of Bengal in an elegant setting.
